Worked example
6 mm full stroke, 180 cpm and 1.2 m/min casting speed.
Expected check: Maximum mould velocity = 3.393; Negative-strip interval per oscillation cycle = 0.1283; Negative-strip fraction = 38.5.

- • Sinusoidal mould motion only
- • S is full peak-to-peak stroke
- • Casting speed (m/min) and mould speed (m/s) are normalized internally before comparison
- • Frequency conversion from cycles per minute (CPM) to hertz is explicit
- • Casting speed is constant through one cycle
